April is Autism Awareness Month. April 2nd, 2018 is the 11th annual World Autism Awareness Day.
Autism is a disorder that manifests differently in different people who have autism.
According to Autism Speaks, “Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication, as well as by unique strengths and differences. We now know that there is not one autism but many types, caused by different combinations of genetic and environmental influences.”
Autism Awareness is a way to share information regarding Autism and to remind others that different is not less!
