New Student District Registration

Parent/Guardian(s) must register their student(s) at the home school by following the steps below.

If you do not know what school your child will attend, please call the Central Office 217-893-5400.  After August 1, 2017, you may call one of the numbers listed below.

 Step 1- GO TO YOUR CHILD’S HOME SCHOOL

Take the following documents to your child’s home school:

  • Driver’s license, State I.D. or Passport

AND

  • Proof of Residency (Current Lease/Mortgage or Current Village Utility Bill)
  • Child’s Birth Certificate
  • Current Physical Exam
  • Immunization Records
  • Vision Exam
  • Dental Exam

Step 2COMPLETE THE ONLINE REGISTRATION AT THE SCHOOL.

ALL RETURNING STUDENTS

(New Kindergarten Students Enroll Information Below)

RCS is excited to announce Parent/Guardian(s) of returning student(s) without changes will ONLY register online through Skyward Family Access HERE.

Change of Address/Residency – You must provide proof of residency (current lease, mortgage or village of Rantoul utility bill).

Please bring your photo identification (Driver’s License, State ID, Passport, or Visa)


SKYWARD FAMILY ACCESS AND STUDENT HOME SCHOOL INFORMATION

If you do not have access to WiFi/Internet at home, your child’s home school will provide access to a computer during the listed times above.

    2018-2019 KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

Children must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2018, to be eligible for kindergarten.

All Parent/Guardian(s) MUST complete the following steps, in order for your child to start Kindergarten.

Step 1- GO TO YOUR CHILD’S HOME SCHOOL

NEW KINDERGARTEN STUDENT (not in RCS Preschool Program)

Parent/Guardian(s) new to the district without current RCS students will register at the child’s home school.

RETURNING PRESCHOOL STUDENT

Parent/Guardian(s) with currently enrolled RCS students OR RCS preschool students will register their kindergarten student through Skyward Family Access using the following LINK.



HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

A recent physical exam and an up-to-date immunization form is required prior to entry into Kindergarten, 6th grade and New students to Illinois.

Health forms are found HERE.

  • Physical Health Examination (performed by MD, APN, PA) with findings on the State of Illinois Form
  • Immunizations
    • Polio vaccine: 3 or more doses of administered at intervals of no less than four weeks apart
    • DTP/DTaP vaccine (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis): 4 doses: the first 3 doses no less than four weeks apart. The interval between the 3rd and 4th or final dose must be at least six months.
    • MMR vaccine (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 1 dose on or after the 1st birthday
    • Hib (Haemophilus influenza type b) Immunization according to Hib schedule
      • Hepatitis B vaccine: 3 doses at appropriate intervals
    • Varicella (chickenpox) vaccine: 1 dose on or after the first birthday or proof of immunity or disease from health care provider
  • Lead screening: Questionnaire and/or blood test~ According to Illinois law, all children 6 months through 6 yrs. of age must be assessed for lead
  • Diabetes risk assessment screening per IDPH rules: BMI>85%; Family History; Ethnic Minority; Signs of Insulin Resistance
  • Pneumococcal Disease: Children less than 5 years old in preschool programs must show proof of at least one dose of pneumococcal vaccine.

  • 2 doses of Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccine
  • Eye Exam Form | Inglés Solamente

ADDITIONAL HEALTH FORMS REQUIRES FOR ALL NEW & CURRENTLY ENROLLED STUDENTS
  • 1st Grade: 2 doses of Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccine
  • 2nd Grade
    • Dental Exam Form | Español
  • 6th Grade
    • School Physical Exam/Full Immunization (Español) , including those require for Kindergarten (Sports Physical does not qualify)
    • Sports Physical (if participating in sports)
    • Hepatitis B series, Tdap, Meningococcal and 2 doses of Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccines.
    • Dental Exam Form | Español
  • 7th Grade: Proof of Tdap immunization and 2 doses of Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccines
    • Current Sports Physical (if participating in sports)
  • 8th Grade: Proof of Tdap immunization and 2 doses of Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccines
    • Current Sports Physical (if participating in sports)
OUT OF STATE – NEW STUDENTS TO ILLINOIS
  • Illinois School Physical Exam and Immunization Form | Español Must Be On The Illinois Form
